The Institute of Carpenters and CITB collaborated to host a Timber Industry College Hub event at Inverness College on Tuesday, 23rd April.
The stage was set with an inspiring opening speech by the Principal, Chris O’Neil, captivating an audience of about one hundred enthusiastic students, apprentices, and staff from all corners of the Highlands & Islands region in Scotland.
Informative presentations were delivered by industry leaders such as the IOC President, Geoff Rhodes; CITB regional experts; Inverness Tutor & IOC CLO, Euan Elliot; MEDITE SMARTPLY; American Hardwoods; NAS; Historic Environment Scotland; Axminster Tools; and EcoFrame.
Several Scottish IOC members were also in attendance., Axminster Tools wowed the crowd with a live demonstration showcasing their cutting-edge equipment.
The networking session led by Lucy Kamall, the IOC Mentoring Champions Project Manager, and Elaine Morrissey of CITB was a highlight, sparking connections and conversations that resonated throughout Inverness College.
