Housebuilder Barratt has announced it’s constructing a new factory to double the number of wood-framed houses it builds with a goal of being carbon neutral by2030. .
The new £45m factory will produce engineered timber frames, so the company can scale-up off-site construction, cut the build-time on developments by approximately five weeks, and meet the tougher sustainability requirements of the 2025 Future Homes Standard.
