Expression of Interest – Regional Leadership
The IOC is looking to establish 6 regions, which will each commit to hosting a member event and a competition for students within the region each year. These would be similar to the IOC’s Timber Hub events and also the Merlane Trophy. The aim is to ensure this sort of activity takes place consistently across the country.
The regions are being proposed on the following basis:
1. Scotland
2. Northern Ireland
3. North of England
4. Midlands/Central
5. South-East England
6. South-West & Wales

This is not a fixed proposal, but we do need to balance the number of regions with the aim of ensuring consistency and getting this initiative up and running.
The expectation is that the leadership of each region will consist of one lead college member, one lead member (MIOC minimum), and one IOC Board member. Additional support will be welcomed. The expected term will be 12 months, which will enable other IOC members to take the lead roles, if desired.
