Government Announces 10 New Construction Technical Colleges
The government has named 10 specialist Construction Technical Excellence Colleges to train more than 40,000 future builders, bricklayers, electricians, carpenters and plumbers by 2029 as part of the public commitment to construction and building 1.5m homes during this parliamentary term.
Backed by £100m of fresh funding, the newly-designated construction college hubs will operate on a “hub and spoke” model, partnering with local training providers and employers. The selected Colleges are, as follows:
Region | College |

East of England | West Suffolk College |
Greater London | New City College |
