What is the WOMA Academy?
The WOMA Academy — Wood Occupations and Materials Alliance Academy — is a dedicated online learning platform built specifically to support those working in the wood occupations and wider fit-out sector. Hosted on TalentLMS, one of the world’s leading cloud-based learning platforms, the Academy gives businesses instant access to a growing library of professional online courses, accessible anytime, anywhere, on any device.
Courses have been developed with the sector firmly in mind. The library includes compliance essential RoSPA-accredited courses: Wood Dust Management, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, and Fire Safety, and beyond the sector-specific essentials, the platform also offers a broader range of professional development courses covering areas such as communication skills, teamwork, leadership, compliance, coaching, and AI awareness.
And this is just the beginning. We are continuously expanding the WOMA Academy course library, with new courses being added on an ongoing basis to ensure the platform keeps pace with the evolving needs of the sector. Watch this space.
The cost
Public access to the WOMA Academy is priced at £250 per person per year — already a competitive rate for unlimited access to a full course library. For NAS and IOC members, that drops to just £10 per person per year.
