President Geoff Rhodes and Amanda Scott – Chair of the National Occupational Standards recently attended and spoke at the TCE General Assembly in Innsbruck on behalf of the Institute of Carpenters. Timber Construction Europe (TCE) is a European organisation, uniting national associations representing small and medium sized businesses in timber construction in Italy, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. TCE and the IOC have reciprocal membership.
They discussed a number of topics covering the construction sector from skills reform to governance changes, construction output and forecasts and the effects of inflation.
