We’re thrilled to share some exciting news – Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester has agreed to take on the Patronage of the Institute of Carpenters (IOC).
This appointment is a significant milestone for our organisation, marking a new chapter in our dedication to promoting, supporting and developing our Members and the carpentry profession more broadly.
As one of the most respected members of the Royal family thanks to her dedication to many charities and an array of organisations, The Duchess of Gloucester brings significant recognition to the Institute. Her decision to support the IOC highlights the importance of carpentry and woodworking skills in the United Kingdom.
In her role as Patron, The Duchess of Gloucester will be instrumental in championing our mission to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship, training, and professional development for carpenters at every level. Her involvement will undoubtedly raise awareness of the invaluable contributions made by carpenters and the wider spectrum of wood trades to the built environment and heritage preservation.
