Eliot explained how he produced the irregular hipped roof model.
- All completely hand cut with a Japanese pull saw and dihedrals hand planed.
- Following the basic drawings provided on the SkillBuild website I set out the geometry to mark all the timber from.
- Big thanks to @jdn_carpentry_and_joinery for showing me a new way to lay out the geometry that has been invaluable.
- I also added a nice diagonal brace that was haunched in to support the upper pitch. It worked perfectly and the whole model is self supporting on the table.
- All that is left is to hand carve my name into the top wall plate soon.
