2017/18 Carpenters' Craft Competition - Jun 21, 2017

Call for entries for the 2017/18 competition. Closing date for applications 31st March 2018

Are you a student of wood trades? Keen to showcase your work and achieve recognition of your skills?  Or maybe you're a College Tutor keen to show off the skills of your students? Then the Carpenters' Craft Competition is for you!

The Carpenters' Craft Competition is the only national competition open to students of carpentry, joinery and shop fitting. Run by the Worshipful Company of Carpenters and the Institute of Carpenters, it gives outstanding students the chance to showcase their work and have it judged by leaders in the field.

With prizes of up to £500 available, the competition aims to encourage and reward highly motivated students who are prepared to go that extra mile to achieve the highest possible standards. Success in this prestigious competition can give students a head start in their chosen vocation having achieved official recognition of their exceptional skills and high-calibre workmanship. There are opportunities to take part at both a regional and a national level, with students from over 200 colleges nationwide eligible to take part.

The competition culminates with the national finals in July and the winners are then presented with their prizes at a special ceremony held at the historic Carpenters' Hall in London in the Autumn.
