Looking for Heritage Wood Occupations training? - Apr 19, 2017
The Traditional Building Skills company is pleased to bring you training courses in Heritage Wood Occupations - specialist upskilling programme (SUP) and specialist apprenticeship programme (SAP)
A 5 or 10 day SUP and 20 SAP course in the conservation and repair of historic timber framing, carpentry and joinery. Over two consecutive weeks, participants will develop a solid theoretical underpinning to practical on-site skills development in bench joinery & timber framing. Courses are a combination of lectures and practical work at historic sites and can be an integral part of working towards an NVQ L3 in Heritage Skills. Upon completion of the NVQ portfolio and assessment (within 12 months of registration) the candidate can apply for a CSCS Gold Card (increasingly necessary for Heritage contracts). SUP courses are targeted at more experienced workers. The 20 day SAP course is split into two blocks, both of which require attending to gain the qualification.
